Because there is no single test that detects the presence of ADHD, a comprehensive evaluation is necessary in order to make accurate diagnoses. The ADHD Center of Las Vegas uses a variety of formal, reliable, evidence-based psychological assessments to assist in the diagnosis of ADHD. The use of such assessments also provides Dr. Ali the opportunity to rule out alternative diagnoses or other possible causes for the symptoms. Formal psychological evaluations may include continuous performance testing, intelligence testing, achievement testing, executive functioning testing, memory testing, and perception testing.
